White smoke has been drifting across Norwich city centre this lunchtime because of a chimney fire at a property in Bull Close Road.

The Anglia Square and Magdalen Street area has seen the most of the smoke, which is being dealt with by a Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service crew from Carrow.

The crew arrived at the scene at 12.30pm and soon had the situation under control using chimney equipment.

It took some time for the firefighters to totally quell the fire however, due to difficult access, but they were away from the site by 2pm.
