Firefighters were called to a blaze inside a derelict pub in Great Yarmouth this morning.
Crews from Yarmouth and Gorleston were called to Fish Wharf, off Southgates Road near the River Yare, just after 7.15am and spent an hour and a half at the site of the former Dolphin pub.
A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said they used hand held appliances and hose reels to battle the flames, before calling the police in to investigate.
Norfolk police confirmed they sent CSI officers to examine the scene and help determine how the fire started.
The terracotta tiled pub, built as part of the Fish Wharf complex in 1868, was formerly known as the Fish Wharf Refreshment Rooms or Stores. The grade II listed building was bombed by a zeppelin in 1915.
It was restored in the late 90s and reopened as a pub restaurant in 1997, but has been closed up for a number of years.
