Firefighters were called to Cantley’s sugar factory this afternoon after a small blaze broke out in one of its chimneys.

Crews from Great Yarmouth and Gorleston attended the scene and used hose reel and main jets to extinguish the flames, and a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.

Staff at the nearby Reedcutters pub said they heard the sirens, after the call went in at 12.40pm, but could not see the fire.
