They took a little persuading but men and women from an east Norfolk village have bared almost all for a charity calender.
The Filby calendar for 2014 features villagers in an array of nearly nude poses, from staff at the Fox and Hounds pub gathered round the bar to local gardeners and girls from the village stables.
The Kings Head pub, the bowls and archery clubs, Filby Bridge restaurant, the post office, and Women’s Institute also got involved.
The photos were taken by resident Bridget Crook and the calender was put together by independent firm Ashleigh Print.
Joy Baldry, secretary of Filby Playing Field, came up with the idea for the calendar a few months ago.
She admits that it took “a bit of persuading” to get the go-ahead from fellow committee members, but said that every penny raised from sales would go back into community.
“Proceeds will go towards our current fundraising efforts for a village community centre,” said Ms Baldry.
The calendar went on sale at Filby fete on Bank Holiday Monday and from next week, September 9, it will be available from Filby Post Office, the Fox and Hounds in Thrigby Road and Filby Bridge Restaurant. Copies are also being sold in Tanners Hair Studio in Caister and the Arcade Florist in Central Arcade, Great Yarmouth.
