Crew from as far as Seattle, Washington, shipped in to RAF Mildenhall on Tuesday to battle structural fires as part of mandatory training.

USAF firefighters must tackle at least two structural and two aircraft live-fire scenarios a year to practice key techniques.

The crews at Mildenhall took on blazes, including a furniture fire, at the base’s live-fire training house.

The simulated house provides a variety of fire hazards, enabling the firefighters to practice and hone their live-saving skills for different situations.
