Fight night and live music will raise cash for Gorleston gym

All Stars Kick Boxing Club turned a disused building in Bells Marsh Road that had become a target for vandalism into a working gym and kitted it out to include a full-size kickboxing ring, punch bags and free weights, along with changing rooms and a ‘chill-out’ area with pool table and games station.

A community gym is holding a weekend of events to help raise funds.

The self-funded All Stars Kick-boxing Club, which transformed its ramshackle home into a bespoke fitness studio in Gorleston last year, needs a new heating system and hopes the weekend will contribute towards the cost.

Tomorrow (Saturday), is Allstars Fight Night with white collar boxing, kickboxing and freestyle by local fighters. Members of neighbouring clubs including Golden Gloves Prizefighters, Lowes Dragons and Exiles MMA Male and Female will also attend. Doors open at 6pm for the first fight at 7.30pm. Tickets, £20 VIP and £15 standard, will be available on the door.

Call 077098 79784 for details.

On Sunday, the gym will host a Sunday Jam Session with live music from Destination Mars and Barcode Generation from 2.30pm onwards.
