Despite operating under a new name for only just under a year, the Ferry Lane Social Club in King’s Lynn has been recognised for its success.
The club, formerly known as the Ouse Amateur Sailing Club, has been named the West Norfolk CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) club of the year.
In presenting the award, branch chairman Steve Barker praised the high quality of the beers on offer which he said was a reflection of the commitment of all involved in the running of the club.
He also referred to the loyalty of the club’s members and noted how the club hosts a number of different groups.
Phil Piggott, director of the Ferry Lane Social Club, thanked the branch for its recognition and paid tribute to the staff, Nikki and Sue, as well as to the club’s members.
Those wishing to join the club, known locally as the Ouse Booze, are encouraged to enquire at the bar in Ferry Lane.
