Feltwell crash victim died after hitting mattress on road

A 43-year-old man died in a crash near Feltwell after hitting a mattress that was on the road and swerving into a tree, according to the Norfolk Coroner.
Dean Humberstone, of Breckland Avenue, Lakenheath, died last Wednesday when the white Nissan van he was driving left Southery Road at around 6.45am.
A spokesman for the Norfolk Coroner, said: “Mr Humberstone was driving on the C872 near Feltwell when his van collided with a mattress which was lying in the carriageway.
“As a result, his vehicle left the road to its near side and collided with a tree.
“Paramedics attended and confirmed Mr Humberstone dead at the scene.”
A 55-year-old man from the Thetford area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the incident.
He has been released on police bail.
A blue Toyota truck was also involved.
