Officers, who have been searching for Peter Chambers’ next-of-kin for almost two weeks, said family members have been located in the Driffield area of east Yorkshire.

It has also been determined that Mr Chambers’ birth name was Peter Sims.

He was initially named as Peter Chambers after documents were found and he was formally identified by friends in the Yarmouth area.

Mr Sims was pronounced deceased after he was pulled from the water on March 10, a few hours after a fishing boat he was in with two other men capsized.

A post mortem has given his cause of death as drowning and further tests are being carried out. An inquest into his death will be held in due course.

The men he was with - Andy Porter and Malcolm Sayer - remain missing.

Friends of the pair, who both lived in Yarmouth, have paid tribute to men and Mr Porter’s family has spoken of their torment of not knowing what happened.
