Event launches £40,000 fundraising campaign for The Matthew Project’s Voicebox

A campaign to raise £40,000 to help a project continue to make sure young people are aware of the dangers of drink and drugs has been kick-started in Norwich.

For many years Voicebox – a caravan run by drug and alcohol charity The Matthew Project – has been visiting young people across Norfolk and Suffolk.

As reported in Saturday’s Norwich Evening News, the charity needs £40,000 to replace the 18-year-old caravan and buy a new vehicle to tow it.

The current Voicebox has been on display today at The Forum where people could find out more, and Rosalie Weetman, The Matthew Project chief executive, said they had had a great response.

She said: “I think people really recognise the value of something that goes out to the young people and seeks to engage with them.”
