Environment Agency issues flood alert for north Norfolk coast

The Environment Agency has warned that flooding is possible for the north Norfolk coast between Old Hunstanton and Weybourne.

The flood alert comes ahead of high tide at 7.10pm today.

The agency warned that the shingle ridge at Salthouse had been damaged in recent tides, leading to more water coming onto the road at Salthouse.

The warning added: “This situation should continue for the next few days.”
