Students put forward their ideas for a greener, more eco-friendly school and town by ditching single-use plastics.
Members of Cromer Academy student council raised issues such as graffiti, pot holes, and the condition of Cromer's skate park with North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) cabinet member for the environment, Hilary Cox when she visited the school on Wednesday, June 6.
Mrs Cox, Cromer Town ward councillor, promised to raise the issues with the district council, and encouraged students to continue speaking up about issues that concern them.
Students also outlined their plans to make the school more eco-friendly by recycling more and ditching single-use plastics – a scheme supported by Mrs Cox, who hopes to supply the school with new recycling bins.
Headteacher Antony Little said: 'We are very grateful to Mrs Cox for her time, and I'm very proud of the mature and interesting contributions that the students made.'
