A pre-school will be making the most of the summer sunshine in brand new surroundings after volunteer and business efforts ensured they have a garden fit for playtime.
The two to four-year-olds at Weeting Pre-school will be running, swinging, reading and chilling out in their new outdoor space after it was revamped.
Weeting family firm, B&B Betts, donated their services to the project which saw a patch of untidy grass replaced with wood chip, a small vegetable patch put in and flower beds sown.
Pamela Scuri, pre-school manager, said the work, which was paid for after fund-raising, would be enjoyed by the children.
“We’ve worked really hard on the garden this summer to get it looking nice.
“It’s important because the children need to be outdoors to thrive and grow, and to play. They much prefer it out here ,” she said.
