A new five-school academy trust has opened in Suffolk.
All Saints Laxfield Primary, Fressingfield Primary, Stradbroke Primary, St Peter and St Paul Primary in Eye and Wortham Primary officially converted to academy status on April 1 as part of the All Saints Schools Trust.
It combines rural church and community primary schools, and comes after a consultation with parents.
Melanie Barrow, its chief executive, said: “By pro-actively deciding to work together we are able to pool our resources and continue to provide the very highest quality of opportunities for our pupils. It is an exciting time for our schools.”
She said the day to day running and leadership of the schools would not change, and that the trust would also be led by Mark Carlyle.
He said the model would provide “strength and depth” and would not be dependent on one leader.
Ofsted has graded two of the five schools outstanding, with the others rated good.
