A school in Costessey turned its assembly hall into an airport and classrooms into different countries for a day of learning.

Costessey Junior School, on Three Mile Lane, let children come to school with their suitcases for a day of international lessons.

Children, as part of International Languages Day, had the chance to go to an airport and fly to their chosen destination, taste and make food from that country, create arts and crafts and learn about how they live and the differences.

The children also had a bollywood dancing session with Jaya Dance, specialists in authentic Indian dancing.

Katie Lawson, principal at the junior school, said: “We have got a huge emphasis on making our curriculum inspiring and fun for all.
