There was traffic congestion on the A11 near Norwich this lunchtime because a recovery truck was on fire.
The southbound carriageway was closed south of the Thickthorn roundabout because the truck was blocking part of the road.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at 11.24am, with crews from Earlham, Sprowston and Carrow attending.
The firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used foam to put the fire out shortly before 12.30pm, and also advised the Environment Agency and Highways Agency of a spill of approximately 60 litres of diesel.
Norfolk police say traffic is fine to use the northbound carriageway and the southbound carriageway will be open once the diesel spill is dealt with and the lorry is recovered.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.
