At Colman Junior on Wednesday, pupils were busy rehearsing. When asked about their show, Alfie Booty, nine, said: “Well Don Bello is cruel and he has slaves and Alfredeo and Fernando both love Maria and Lucia.”
Bella Sidola, nine, added: “I play Maria. Well, Maria and Lucia are in love with two boys and Don Bello sends the boys to pretend to go to war to see if the girls will be faithful. I feel really excited and quite nervous. I have been counting down the days until the big performance.”
