Squeals and laughter could be heard across Northgate High School today as hundreds of teenagers picked up the school’s best ever GCSE results.
Star student Hannah Wynton, 16, from Dereham, said when she opened her A* and A-grades she felt faint.
“It’s been quite a difficult year but I am so pleased with my results”, she said.
And Avalon Murfet 16, from Dereham, said the feeling of knowing she got in to Dereham Sixth Form is “amazing”.
“I had butterflies in my stomach before I found out what I got”, she said.
“I got what was predicted , I never thought I would and I am so happy!”
Joe Meeham, also 16 and from Dereham, said he wants to be a paramedic and hopes his mixture of A*s, Bs and Cs put him-on track to achieving his dream job.
