Girls in the junior school at Norwich High School are celebrating their achievements in the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) speech and drama exams - after they all achieved distinctions and merits.

The girls are taught by Jane Ashdown, principal of the DramActive Academy in Norwich.

From the ages of four to 18, girls and boys throughout Norfolk have an opportunity to explore every aspect of theatre in their studies.

Jane said: “The girls at Norwich High are a pleasure to teach. They all show a commitment and enthusiasm which is reflected in their success.”

The youngest member of the Junior School DramActive Academy at Norwich High is five-year-old Sienna Thompson and the oldest is 10-year-old Maddi Hazledon, who both achieved distinctions.

The LAMDA exams specialise in speech and drama with an emphasis on life skills and communication.

From the infants through to the sixth-form, Norwich High girls are recognised for their individual achievements in assemblies, weekly newsletters, letters home to parents and headmaster’s commendation meetings.
