An academy trust turned to the generosity of the Norwich community to make sure its pupils received a present from Santa.

Keen to see every child receive a gift, Valerie Moore, chief executive of the Right for Success trust, approached local businesses to see whether they could help with donations.
The teams at Barclays, Allicare, which is based in Mulbarton, and John Lewis stepped up to provide donations and gifts of soft toys.

After some help with wrapping from year seven pupils, it was time to get in touch with the most important person - Father Christmas.

And earlier this week, he visited Edith Cavell Academy and Tuckswood Academy, which are both based in Norwich, to drop off his loot.

Paula Jones, head of school at Edith Cavell, said: “This was such a generous thing to do. We all know that Santa is so busy at this time of year and to help him out by making these donations was wonderful.”

Mrs Moore thanked the businesses involved.
