Norwich school still closed following sickness epidemic

A school in Norwich remains closed following a “sickness epidemic”.

Heartsease Primary Academy, in Rider Haggard Road, was shut on Friday and remains closed today to allow a “deep clean of the whole site”.

A statement posted on the school’s Facebook page last week said: “School is being deep cleaned during this time. Please can I remind you that it is 48hours from the last episode of sickness before children can return to school.

“School will reopen Tuesday, March 21.”

The school closure has been confirmed on Norfolk County Council’s website. A message said: “Heartsease Primary Academy will be closed due to a sickness epidemic to all children to allow for a deep clean of the whole site.”

As previously reported Attleborough Infant School was also shut last week due to sickness.
