A teenager is looking forward to raising lots of money for charity in her role as the student president of Paston Sixth Form College in North Walsham.
Hannah Begley, 16, beat off competition for the role from several candidates.
They all took to the stage and were asked questions by fellow students before a democratic vote.
The teenager, who is studying A-levels in English literature, History and Politics, said: “It was nice to win. I will be supported in my efforts by the vice-president, Georgina Reynolds, and a student executive committee.
“The plan ahead will be to organise lots of charity events.
“I want to study law after school. I think this will give me new skills. I can’t wait to get started.”
Principal Kevin Grieve said: “We have a tight community that is supportive of each other and the student president and their team play a large part in making this happen.”
