Pupils were transported to the magical world of JK Rowling when their school library was transformed into the Great Hall of Hogwarts.
Muggles and Wizards from Dereham piled into Neatherd High School's library on Thursday for the celebration of all things Potter, under the theme of Fantastic Beasts.
Neatherd's Librarian, Lorraine Gill, compiled a magic-themed timetable including science lessons which saw students matching up different animal skulls to identify magical creatures and a Herbology class where they planted their own magical mandrake plants.
'It is lovely to see so many students from all year groups enthusiastically attending these events', she said.
'I really enjoy bringing the books and stories of the wonderful world of JK Rowling alive and spreading a little magic within our school.'
The evening was held as part of Harry Potter Book Night, a national event that celebrates the famous wizard.
