Youngsters at a Norfolk school are set to become television stars on children’s channel CBeebies this month.

Pupils in the nursery and reception classes at Harleston Primary School will star in a winter-themed episode of BBC children’s programme Show Me Show Me, which is due to be broadcast on December 17 at 4.30pm.

The show will be repeated on BBC2 on December 23 at 6pm and then again on CBeebies on Christmas Day at 10.05am and 2.05pm.

Filming for the show took place in Bev Beaumont’s classroom against a winter background created by staff and pupils in October – when the children were asked to attend school in winter woollies.

Headteacher Roger Walsh said: “Lots of still pictures were taken and animated scenes and the children reading poems about winter. It was an incredible experience for them – seeing a real-life television crew at work and being in front of a TV camera.

“The crew were extremely complimentary about the behaviour and attitude of the children – how confident they were and well-motivated.”
