Paula Grey and Debbie Bal, of Mundesley Infant School, planned the event which included a torch passing opening ceremony, a family warm up, races for pupils, parents and toddlers.

The day ended with Olly the Elephant presenting gold, silver and bronze medals to the winners of the final races with plenty of cheers from the audience.

A spokesman from the school said: “The pupils have learnt a great deal about the meaning of the Olympics and the countries which take part and are now looking forward to watching events unfold in London 2012.”

Tea, coffee, ice cream and hot food was also available for everyone on the day.
