A college is searching for an experienced partner to manage and operate its three nurseries in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.

East Coast College has decided to focus on its core business of further and higher education and training and is now inviting expressions of interest to operate Ladybirds Nursery, Great Yarmouth Day Nursery and Lowestoft Campus Nursery.

A spokesman said: 'The college is keen to see the nursery provision continue in the two towns and for this reason is seeking an experienced partner to manage and operate the nurseries directly. This as a positive step forward for the services helping to develop and sustain an essential amenity in both towns. The opportunity would suit an experienced local or national provider and the college is seeking and open to conversations with all and any interested parties.'

The college has said the nurseries will continue to operate throughout the procurement process, and reassured staff, parents and the local communities that every effort is being made to continue the services.

The closing date for expressions of interest and clarification questions is March 15, with tender submissions due by March 23.
