Eleven engineering students at City College Norwich are celebrating after achieving distinctions in their BTEC National Certificate in Engineering.
The students all combine part-time study with their work in a variety of different engineering jobs, and received specially made plaques presented by Richard Burley, head of the School of Technology, Environment and Sport.
The students gained the best possible mark of 216 points by achieving distinctions in all 11 units of their course, specialising in either electronic and electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
All of the students have been attending City College Norwich for one day a week over the last two years.
The mechanical engineering students with the distinction of having achieved perfect marks are: Jake Currell (KLM), Joe Leeder (TML Precision Engineering), George Gook, Jake Howell, Jake Jones, Lewis Morgan and Ryan Unsworth (all British Sugar).
In electronic and electrical engineering, the students to achieve a full set of distinctions are: Lee Rice (GTC), Matt Smith (Ibonhart Ltd), Ian Moore (Lotus) and Toby Walker (ICS Eastern Ltd).
Mr Burley said: “These students have all done exceptionally well, producing consistently outstanding results over the duration of their course.
“Their success is testimony to the hard work that they have put in and also to the support of their employers over the two years of study.”
Supporters of Scottish champions Celtic are in Norwich ahead of the Adam Drury testimonial game tonight.
