A Bunwell Primary student received £100 for her school to spend on gardening equipment after designing a gardening club’s new logo.
Megan Stapley, a Year 6 pupil at the school, was presented the cheque by members of the Green Fingers Gardening Club, in Hinderclay on Wednesday, November 7.
The prize was awarded for a logo she had designed that could be used on the membership cards for the club. Megan received a presentation copy of a membership card containing her logo and a cheque for the school for £100 to spend on gardening equipment.
The school has a long tradition of gardening and improving the environment, and the money will be used to purchase more gardening gloves for the youngest pupils at the school.
Nearly 3,000 people have supported a Facebook campaign demanding safety improvements on the A47 near Dereham set up after the latest fatal crash.
