Maths-loving high school pupils put their skills to good use by raising nearly £100 for charities which help children who need it most.
Pupils from Year 7 and 8 at Bungay High School organised the ‘Is it Fair?’ project and in the process raised £91.58 for the NSPCC and Childline.
As part of the project the pupils planned and organised a tombola, frog racing and other village fair games.
Calculating the odds and earnings they tested their theories and competed for the wide range of prizes donated by local businesses.
A high school spokesman said: “This annual event supports the NCPCC and Childline and therefore has the added bonus of raising awareness of the range of organisations that can offer help and support to young people.”
The school gave special thanks to The Chocolate Box in Bungay, The Co-op in Halesworth and Morrisons and Tesco in Beccles for providing prizes for the event.
