Boat rescued after getting into difficulty on River Chet in Loddon

Emergency services were involved in a boat rescue on the River Chet in Loddon after a vessel got into difficulty on the waters.

Fire appliances were dispatched from Loddon and Carrow around 7.30pm to reports of a boat in trouble in the waters just off Pyes Mill Road.

Teams using a technical rescue unit and a boat of their own managed to secure the vessel into a mooring position using a line.

The incident has now been handed over to Norfolk Police, according to Norfolk Fire Service
