An elderly man died after collapsing in an Aylsham residential street.

The incident happened at around 1.50pm on Saturday, August 19 outside a property in Breeze Avenue, Aylsham.

Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST), the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) and police officers were called to the emergency.

An EEAST spokesman said a community first responder attempted to resuscitate the elderly man using CPR after he stopped breathing.

She added a rapid response vehicle and ambulance were also called but the elderly man did not survive.

An EAAA spokesman confirmed its Anglia One helicopter was flown from Norwich Airport to Aylsham at 1.50pm.

He said the crew was with the patient just after 2pm and had left at 3pm.

The crew was made up of two pilots, Dr Tobias Gauss and critical care paramedic Chris Neil.
