Driver who died in Bungay car crash is named

An 80-year-old man who died after a three vehicle car crash in Bungay has been named.

Denis Sporle, from Barsham, near Beccles, died after a crash on Beccles Road at around 1.15pm on Friday.

Police had been called to a report of a crash between a white Vauxhall Corsa, a silver Ford Fusion and a blue Volvo V40.

Mr Sporle, who was driving the Vauxhall Corsa, was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston but died the same day.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the cars, particularly the Vauxhall Corsa, before the crash.
