Police said her white Seat Ibiza was involved in a crash with a grey Hyundai Getz on North Walsham Road at about 8.15pm.

They said the car continued driving towards North Walsham, and was then in a second crash with a silver Vauxhall Vectra near the rugby club.

The driver of the Seat was trapped and freed by firefighters, and then taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious back and internal injuries.

The male driver of the Vauxhall was also trapped and freed by firefighters. He suffered serious leg injuries and was also taken to hospital.

Police said no-one in the Hyundai was hurt.

The road was closed until 4am whilst police investigated.

Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the collision, or the way the vehicles involved were being driven.
