Dogs rescued from garage fire in Acle: blaze being treated as suspicious

Two dogs were rescued after fire broke out at a garage in Acle.

Emergency services were called to a business premise in Old Road at 1.25am today.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Acle and Yarmouth attended, using breathing apparatus and jets to put out the flames by 2.11am as well as saving two dogs from inside the garage.

A bin was also alight at the scene.

Police have now confirmed that the fire is being treated as suspicious.
