The incident happened on Tuesday, September 4 at about 5pm at Bullen’s jewellery store in London Street.

Two people entered the store and asked the sales assistant to see some items in the window.

They then spent some time viewing other objects of jewellery before deciding on the two items they wanted. They asked for them to be wrapped, and they then left the store stating they would bring the money to pay for the items and to take them away. The pair failed to return.

A stock-take held the next day found that various items of jewellery were missing.

Five 9-carat bracelets, as well as an 18-carat chain bracelet and a 9-carat white gold bangle are thought to have been taken in the incident.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who believes they may recognise the women pictured in the images or has information relating to the incident.

Anyone with knowledge should contact PC Hollie Fisher at Bethel Street CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
