Do you have memories of September 11 attack on the World Trade Center in New York?

As the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York approaches, will be marking the event with a series of features looking back at the day that changed the world and reflecting on its impact over the decade since.

But we want to hear from anyone who was in New York or America at the time; caught up in the attacks or affected by them and anyone whose life has been impacted or changed significantly since by the attacks as a result of them.

You may have been visiting America in September 2001, lost friends, relatives or colleagues in the al Qaida attack or be a soldier or relative of service personnel who found themselves fighting the global war on terrorism in the treacherous terrain of Afghanistan in the years since.

  • I was not well at the time and due to the illness had been asleep for a few hours. I came back threw from my bedroom to the living room and turned the tv on thinking it was some type of spoof tv program or very good fake news program. Changed channels to find on all 4 l had at the time reporting the same thing. It then twigged it was real. Remember feeling really horrible as l know we had family out there and as result was worried got a email from them a few hours later to say they were all well and watching it from the other side of town. A day that a whole world will never forget and will always remember.

  • The day the world changed forever, too horrifying to dwell on that moment the first tower crumbled into dust.

  • My memories on 911 I was sitting at home watching it live on TV. I said to my partner; "This looks like a false flag operation by the US Government to enable the Patriot Act. They didn't kill enough people in the Oklahoma City bombing. They had to do something more drastic that the public would respond to. This sort of 'terrorist' action will get a response." Al Qaida couldn't tell the US air force to stand down. At the time of the attack, North American Aerospace Defense Command where doing training exercises. The exercise involved fake radar ghosts of hijacked planes. NORAD control couldn't tell the real planes from the simulations. (The London Underground Bombing 'Exercises' Took Place at Same Time as Real Attacks too) Fire has never (prior to or after 911) caused any steel frame building to collapse. The sudden, vertical, explosive, and total collapse of the Twin Towers at near freefall speed can only be explained by controlled demolition. In a "controlled burn" (where oxygen and fuel are regulated in an optimal mix), jet fuel will reach a maximum temperature of 1800 degrees Fahrenheit, which is still not anywhere near the temperature required to weaken the steel girders of a building to the point that the entire building plummeted to the ground. Yet molten steel was reported below the towers, suggesting that a very powerful "fuel" was used, set to burn or explode BELOW the building, not at its top. Thermite, an HTA (high-temperature accelerant) typically used in military operations, would have been able to liquefy the steel. Thermite can reach a temperature of 4500 dF in 2 seconds, and steel begins to melt at 2750 dF. The explosions below have been verified by attending fire-fighters. Some of the alleged 911 "suicide hijackers" are still alive and well, according to the BBC and The Guardian. At least five of the alleged hijackers may have trained at U.S. military bases, as reported in Newsweek and other sources. The "plane" that hit the Pentagon flew down a street without breaking any lamp-posts or leaving any trace of it's existence in the wreckage. Jet fuel is refined kerosene. Airliners use "Jet A" kerosene and the military uses "JP 4" kerosene. Regardless, neither grade burns hot enough to make a plane vanish, or it would melt the inside of the jet engine. BBC News reported the collapse of World Trade Center building 7 twenty minutes before it actually fell (by surprise). The building housed Mayor Giuliani's command control center and other sensitive Federal and Government Agencies. This news article should be filed in the fiction section, Mr. Mark Nicholls.

  • CaisterWaster - I'm sure you can get treatment for your rampant paranoia. Perhaps you should consider looking into it sooner rather than later.
