Air cadets raised more than £900 for a new squadron standard by cycling, rowing and running the distance to the Cenotaph, in London, and back again.
Cadets and staff from 1070 Diss Squadron Air Training Corps completed the challenge on October 16 in the comfort of the Hartismere High gym in Eye using the school’s fitness suite equipment.
Twenty one cadets took turns on treadmills, cross trainers and exercise bikes to complete the distance in just over 90 minutes.
The event was primarily organised to raise funds for a new squadron standard, for use in the upcoming Remembrance parade.
Early calculations show that the cadets have raised just over £900, meeting the target for a new standard plus a little extra towards other squadron activities.
