A team of first aiders will now have a more visible presence when they attend incidents after their car was painted with their logo.

The seven-strong Diss Community First Responders have now had their call sign painted onto the roof of their £10,000 Ford C-Max along with the words Diss Community First Responders and the names of donors who have helped support them financially to carry out their life saving work.

The work cost over £300 from funds raised by the team.

Rachel Hillier, a co-ordinator for the responders, said the responders team, who provide medical treatment to patients until ambulance crews arrive, had previously had to use their own cars to get to incidents.

However, the Ford C-Max, which they have used since September 1, will be the team’s main vehicle and has been designed to provide the responders with enough space for their equipment.

She said: “We have got enough room for our equipment and it is a nice easy car to drive and to park and we are thrilled to bits with it. It has enabled us to become more visible.”
