Dereham and the surrounding areas woke up to a sprinkling of snow this morning, with no problems being reported.

Brekland Council said they have gritted all their car parks in the district and added there are no problems with bin collections.

Dereham Town Council said they had not received any requests for gritting, but were expecting them later in the day

Watton Town Council also said they had no problems reported.

And the clerk at Swaffham Town Council, Richard Bishop, took to the social media website to rally gritting volunteers for the week.

He wrote: “Calling all #Swaffham gritting #volunteers #snow forecast for this week. Equipment collected from #TownHall on 1st morning after snowfall.”
