The deadline for entries to a poster competition advertising this year’s Crab and Lobster Festival is looming.
The Cromer and Sheringham Crab & Lobster Festival has launched a poster design competition for the second year running to mark its fourth Festival, with the deadline for entries Friday, March 1.
This year’s festival will run from May 17-19, with a feast of events to celebrate the seafood heritage, fishing industry and close connections of the two towns.
The winner of the design competition, which so far has attracted entries from across Norfolk, Suffolk and even Newcastle, will see their image transformed into the official festival poster and will also receive tickets to the opening concert as well as a framed print of their winning design.
The competition is open to all individuals and it is hoped that artists, children, businesses and community groups will get involved.
This year’s festival will include an art trail of decorated lifebuoys, an opening concert compered by Olly Day, cookery theatre demonstrations throughout the weekend, an expanded programme of street entertainment, a seafood snack trail around pubs, restaurants and cafes, the world pier crabbing championships, live music and a local craft and art market.
For the poster competition design brief, application form and further information, visit the festival website at www.crabandlobsterfestival.co.uk.
Entries must be received by 5pm, Friday March 1 with a completed entry form attached to the back.
