Cromer Pier is throwing open its doors - with a series of backstage tours and chance to step into the spotlight.
The event, on Saturday November 8, follows the success of a similar day held in the summer.
Backstage tours are scheduled for 11am, 12 noon and 1pm and will give visitors a chance to take a peak and the dressing rooms, the costume store and get to know more about the work that goes on during a show in the wings.
There is even the chance to try on a costume stand on stage and feel the spotlight.
The venue’s Christmas show stars Olly Day and Eddie Bushell will be on hand to chat with visitors and give budding performers a tip or two.
Olly will also be performing some of his spellbinding ‘close-up magic’, and Eddie (pictured) singing and playing the piano. Tips on theatre make-up and preparing to go on stage along with a few surprises are certain to make for an interesting day.
Pier general manager Rebecca Wass said: “I really enjoy the open days. It is a great way to show people the workings of the theatre and to encourage children to begin to understand the workings of a live show.”
The event runs from 10.30am. The Cromer Christmas Show starring Olly Day and Lyn Paul from The New Seekers, along the Cromer’s own top vocalist Eddie Bushell, comedy magician Benson and the Seaside Special Dancers opens runs from Saturday November 29 to Saturday December 27.
Tickets for all show are on sale now from the box office at the entrance to Cromer Pier, call 01263 512495 or visit www.cromer-pier.com
