Carnival time kicks off at Cromer this weekend as the resort gears up to welcome thousands more visitors to a week-long feast of fun.
The biggest day is Wednesday, when the town hosts the aerial exploits of the Red Arrows in their 50th display season (11am) and the evening parade (7pm).
The carnival, now in its 45th year, contains a packed programme of more than 120 events for all ages.
Events start on Saturday with the carnival car boot sale, craft fair, beer festival, dog show and events in the arena on the carnival field.
On Sunday the custom and American car show, including motorbikes, fills the Runton Road field.
The crowning of Miss Cromer, Hayley Massingham, will take place at 12.15pm by Cromer Seaside Special stars Paul Eastwood and Adam Daye.
In the afternoon there many of the carnival favourites such as the bonny baby competition, knobbly knees contest, and glamorous grandmother competition before a fun wrestling evening.
Highlights during the week include:
• Monday – waiter and waitresses race, promenade 3pm.
• Tuesday – family fun day on the carnival field (including the Joseph Pearce Fire Stunt Show, the Cascade Kite Display team and aerobatics from The Wildcats. From 10am. Entry fee £4 adults, accompanied children under 16 free.
• Wednesday – Carnival arena attractions include motorcycle display team The Bolddog Lings, The Devil's Horsemen and Elaine Hill's Sheepdogs. From 9.30am. Adults £6, senior citizens £4, children £3 or family ticket £15 (two adults and two children).
• Thursday – Firework Display 9.15pm. Free admission.
• Friday – Children's Talent Competition (Pier Pavilion, 9.15am heats. Entries by Tuesday. Forms from Cromer Shopping Centre)
