A 37-year-old woman was due to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates Court this morning (Monday), charged with robbery and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.
This follows an incident at the Premier store in St Peters Street, Lowestoft about 5.25pm on Friday, November 29.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to reports that someone was robbing the store at knifepoint and officers immediately attended. A quantity of cash was stolen after the offender demanded money from members of staff at the premises. No one was hurt in the incident.”
The 37-year-old woman was arrested about 8.25pm and was taken into custody where she was interviewed by officers.
Kelly Payne, 37, of Thurston Road in Lowestoft, was subsequently charged with the two offences and was detained to appear at court this morning.
