A woman has been taken to hospital after being assaulted outside a fast food take away in Norwich.

Police in Norwich are appealing for witnesses after the woman was assaulted outside Best kebab in Prince of Wales Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The victim was pushed by a man and fell backwards hitting her head on the ground. She suffered a cut to the head and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment.

Officers would like to hear from anyone with information about the incident, which happened between 4.30am and 4.40am.
