Witnesses sought after man suffers broken jaw in attack at the UEA in Norwich

A 28-year-old man suffered a broken jaw when he was attacked at the UEA in Norwich.

It happened outside the LCR venue during a student function between 1am and 3am on Saturday, January 18.

The victim was in the coffee bar in the Hive area when he was approached by another man who verbally threatened him before punching him in the face, knocking the victim unconscious.

He was taken to hospital where it was found his jaw was broken in three places and he will have to undergo surgery as a result.

The incident happened as people were leaving the LCR due to a fire alarm evacuation and police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning it.
