It happened at 2pm on the Haddiscoe bends, about 400 metres south of Station Road, when a green Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle travelling towards St Olaves, was involved in a collision with a red Audi A4 and orange Vauxhall Corsa, both travelling in the opposite direction.

Sadly the rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his early 20s, died at the scene. No one else was injured in the collision.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning the riding manner of the bike prior to the collision.

Witnesses should call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
