Police have today released a picture of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault at a West Norfolk railway station.
A teenager was punched in the face at Watlington station, between Downham Market and King’s Lynn, on Friday, September 28 and now British Transport Police is appealing for information.
PC Paul Harvey, the investigating officer, said: “An altercation took place between the victim, an 18-year-old from the local area, and a man onboard the 2.06pm Downham Market to Kings Lynn.
“When the train arrived into Watlington station, the victim left the service and began to walk down the platform.
“The man got off the train and followed him before he punched him causing a black eye, cuts and bruises.”
Officers have conducted a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV in the surrounding area and speaking to witnesses.
PC Harvey added: “Our enquiries are still ongoing and I’d appeal to anyone who may recognise the man pictured, which is very clear, to come forward.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 quoting background reference B8/LNA of 09/10/2012.
