Police are appealing for information after a man’s car was attacked while he waited at a set of traffic lights in the city.

The victim was at the lights in Ipswich Road at the junction with Lakenham Road on Wednesday July 11 at about 7.30am, when the driver of a white van in the right hand lane approached him.

The van driver insulted him before punching the wing mirror of his Vauxhall Astra and breaking it.

The offender is described as white, about 5ft 10ins, in his mid twenties, of slim build with cropped fair hair.

He returned to the van and turned right along Lakenham Road.
