The victim, in his sixties, was sitting on a bench near St Cuthbert’s Church in King Street when a male youth approached him before punching him in the arm.

The man suffered bruising as a result of the attack, which is believed to have taken place in the afternoon or early evening some time between December 28 and January 2.
