A man escaped serious injury after a van he was driving rolled down an embankment and hit a tree off the A47 near Norwich this evening.
Police were called to reports of a single vehicle crash on a stretch of the A47 between Bawburgh and Little Melton, just prior to the B1108 slip road at about 4.10pm.
Officers discovered the Mercedes Sprinter van had rolled down the embankment and into a tree although the driver was nowhere to be seen.
A search of the area led police to trace the male driver at home in Belton, near Great Yarmouth.
It is believed a breath test was carried out but proved negative.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances of the crash.
The vehicle has since been recovered following the crash which was also attended by fire crews from Earlham, Hethersett and Carrow.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) said they sent an ambulance and ambulance officer but on arrival found there were no casualties.
